Amiri Decree Accepts Noura Al-Fussam’s Resignation, Appoints Subaih Al-Muzayen as Acting Minister of Finance
The Kuwaiti News Agency reported today, Monday, the issuance of an Amiri decree accepting the resignation of Noura Al-Fussam from her positions as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment.
The agency also stated that the Minister of Electricity and Water, Subaih Al-Muzayen, has been appointed as Acting Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, in addition to his current responsibilities.
Noura Al-Fussam assumed the Ministry of Finance portfolio on August 25, 2024, having previously served as Head of Strategic Planning at Boubyan Bank.
In September 2024, she also temporarily took on the role of Acting Minister of Oil, alongside her existing duties, following the resignation of Minister Imad Al-Otaibi.
