CES 2026 Expectations: Major Innovations in AI, Phones, and Robotics

The Consumer Electronics Show 2026 (CES 2026) is set to begin on January 6 and will run for three days, during which technology companies will showcase their latest innovations, according to a report by the tech website Digital Trends.

CES is the world’s largest annual technology event, and the upcoming edition is expected to feature a wide range of new and groundbreaking products. However, most forecasts point to specific sectors, based on analyses from Digital Trends experts and reports by ZDNet. Below are the key expectations for CES 2026.

Next-Generation RTX 50 Graphics Cards

According to Digital Trends, Nvidia is expected to unveil the next generation of its graphics processors, namely the RTX 50 Super series, during the conference. Traditionally, “Super” versions offer modest performance improvements over the previous generation, along with price reductions for older models.

An increase in memory capacity is also typically expected, although the ongoing memory chip shortage could limit such upgrades. The report notes that CES will likely be limited to the official announcement and early demonstrations, with a market release scheduled for later in 2026.

AI-Powered Wearable Hardware

CES traditionally features the unveiling of new wearable devices, and with growing industry focus on artificial intelligence, AI-powered wearables are expected to take center stage. Smart glasses, in particular, have emerged as one of the most promising innovations, with companies exploring various designs and use cases.

As a result, CES 2026 may see the launch of a new generation of smart glasses from major players such as Meta, as well as from startups. AI integration is also expected to expand into smart rings and smartwatches, according to ZDNet.

More Creative Smartphone Designs

The year 2025 witnessed a surge in innovative smartphones, including multi-foldable devices from companies such as Huawei and Samsung. ZDNet expects CES 2026 to showcase a new wave of unique and unconventional smartphones that break away from traditional form factors.

These devices are unlikely to come from industry leaders like Apple or Samsung, but rather from companies such as Huawei, Honor, and others. This follows a year that saw the launch of several creatively designed flagship phones, including the ultra-thin “iPhone Air,” described as the slimmest iPhone ever released by Apple.

More Practical and Advanced Robots

CES has long been a platform for cutting-edge smart devices, but home appliances and robotics often steal the spotlight. Both ZDNet and Digital Trends expect a strong presence of home robots at CES 2026, especially as competition intensifies in the development of useful humanoid robots.

Some of these robots may appear on the exhibition floor as active participants or in live demonstrations. Not all showcased robots will be entirely new, as improved versions of previously announced models are also expected to make an appearance.

A New Generation of Smart TVs

Television technology has evolved rapidly in recent years, and CES remains the primary stage for unveiling the latest advancements. Digital Trends predicts that CES 2026 will feature a new lineup of smart TVs powered by high-end Micro LED and Mini LED technologies.

In addition, companies may introduce innovative foldable TVs that emerge from dedicated storage units, alongside continuous improvements in display quality, design, and overall user experience.
