Education Minister: The Education Conference in Nouakchott is an Opportunity for Discussion and Exchange of Experiences
Education Minister Huda Mint Babaah stated that the continental conference on education, hosted in the capital Nouakchott, represents an opportunity to deepen the discussion and reflection on the requirements for establishing effective education systems. This is done through an objective evaluation of the reality of our systems, exchanging successful experiences, envisioning ways to provide sustainable education funding, reforming curricula, and professionalizing teachers.
The minister made this statement on Monday during the opening of the conference, which is attended by ministers from various African countries.
“Embracing Ideas and Sharing Experiences”
The minister emphasized that the conference aims to embrace ideas, exchange experiences, and present practical innovations that can contribute to accelerating the pace of scientific and research development in Africa.
She added that among the conference’s objectives are to explore mechanisms for optimal utilization of human and material resources, effective evaluation of learning outcomes, leveraging digital technologies in education, achieving equity, developing 21st-century skills, vocational and technical education, promoting the teaching of science and technology, and improving the governance of education systems. The goal is to secure the educational and scientific future, ensuring that every African, regardless of age, has the right to lifelong learning.
