Ould Bilal’s government holds its last meeting next Tuesday
The government of Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal is preparing for its final meeting next Tuesday, approximately 30 hours before President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani’s inauguration for a second term.
According to government sources, the final meeting will be held at the presidential palace on Tuesday under the chairmanship of President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.
The current government was appointed on July 3, 2023, and it is the third government led by Ould Bilal after the August 2020 and March 2022 governments.
It is expected that this government will submit its resignation following Ould Ghazouani’s inauguration on Thursday, August 1, for a second and final term, in accordance with the Mauritanian constitution.
