President Ghazouani Arrives in Luanda to Participate in the AU–EU Summit

His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani arrived this afternoon in the Angolan capital, Luanda, to take part in the seventh summit between the African Union and the European Union, scheduled for 24–25 November 2025.

At Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport, His Excellency was received by Angola’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Téte António, along with the Ambassador of Mauritania to Luanda, H.E. Mohamed Makhalla.

The President is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes:

  • Nany Ould Chrougha, Minister in charge of the Presidency’s Office;
  • Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad;
  • El Hussein Ould Ennaji, Mauritania’s Ambassador to Addis Ababa;
  • Ahmedou Edi Mohamed Razi, Advisor to the Presidency;
  • Aïssata Daouda Diallo, Advisor to the Presidency;
  • El Hassan Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Protocol.

This participation underscores Mauritania’s commitment to strengthening African–European cooperation and contributing to key discussions shaping the future of the two continents.
