President Ghazouani Arrives in Ouadane to Oversee Opening of 14th Edition of Ancient Cities Heritage Festival

His Excellency President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived on Thursday evening in the city of Ouadane to oversee the opening of the 14th edition of the Ancient Cities Heritage Festival.
Upon arrival at the airport, the President was received by the Governor of Adrar, Mr. Abdallah Ould Mohamed Mahmoud; the Commander of the Third Military Region, Colonel Mohamed El Amine Ould Elmine; the President of the Adrar Regional Council, Mr. Mohamed Ould Achrif Ould Abdallah; the Prefect of Ouadane, Mr. Cheikh Ould Bilal; the Mayor of Ouadane, Mr. Mohamed El Amine Ould Abbah; and the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Mr. Abdo Ould Louleyd Ould Weddad.
The President also greeted the Commander of the Northern Gendarmerie Region, Colonel Bukhari Mamah; the Commander of the Regional National Guard Group No. 6, Lieutenant Colonel Assouweidat Viss; the Commander of the Atar Gendarmerie Battalion, Major Sidi Mohamed Maqb; the Regional Director of Security, Chief Commissioner Abou Harouna Diop; Colonel Mohamed Mostafa Ahmed, Regional Director of Northern Customs; and the Commander of the Specialized Civil Protection and Crisis Management Unit, Major Abdi Keilani.
Residents of Ouadane gave President Ghazouani a large and enthusiastic popular استقبال along the route taken by the presidential convoy from the city entrance to his place of residence. Citizens, joined by camel riders and horsemen, expressed their gratitude for the major achievements realized in Ouadane, both through government development programs and through the initiatives implemented within successive editions of the Ancient Cities Heritage Festival.
