President of the Republic Departs for the Holy Sites to Perform Hajj

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, departed the capital Nouakchott at dawn today, Saturday, heading to Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah and Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
His Excellency was seen off at Nouakchott International Airport “Oum Tounsi” by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Ajay, along with several members of the government and senior officials, including:
- Presidential Advisors Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdellah Ould Othman and Ms. Aissata Ba Yahya;
- Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallahi Ben Bayeh;
- Minister of Defense, Veterans, and Families of Martyrs, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi;
- Minister of Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed El Amin;
- Chief of the President’s Special Staff, General Ibrahim Fall Cheibani Cheikh Ahmed;
- Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidency, Ms. Ghandiaga Fatimata;
- Governor of Nouakchott West, Mr. Embarebé Rabo Ould Bounen Ould Abidine;
- Vice President of the Nouakchott Region Council, Ms. Haoua Sidi Beye;
- Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Mauritania, H.E. Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Ruqabi.
Accompanying His Excellency on this journey is a high-level delegation consisting of:
