Rosso: Inauguration of the Health Center of the National Occupational Medicine Office
His Excellency the Minister of Civil Service and Labor, Mr. Mohamed Ould Esouidat, accompanied by the Wali of Trarza, Mr. Mohamed Ould Ahmed Mouloud, today, Friday, in the city of Rosso, oversaw the inauguration of the health center of the National Occupational Medicine Office, as part of the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the glorious National Independence Day.
In his speech on the occasion, His Excellency the Minister explained that the National Occupational Medicine Office is one of the main pillars through which the Civil Service and Labor sector contributes to providing a health system for workers, ensuring their right to a safe and conducive working environment for work and production.
He added that this center is a reinforcement of health coverage for workers through the expansion and development of the series of health centers affiliated with the National Occupational Medicine Office, which clearly reflects the sector’s determination to move forward in achieving the set objectives of bringing various health services closer to workers.
He also mentioned that the inauguration of these health units is part of the ongoing efforts of the government of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould El Ajay, aimed at implementing and realizing the ambitious social program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, primarily aimed at creating comprehensive and sustainable economic and social development for the country within a state of justice, law, and institutions.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the Civil Service and Labor sector seeks to create a major dynamic within the sector in order to accelerate the implementation of the work plan stemming from the mandate issued by His Excellency the Prime Minister. In the field of civil service, efforts have been focused on improving the legislative and organizational framework for managing human resources through a series of reforms.
For his part, the Director General of Occupational Medicine, Mr. Mohamed Fadel Sid Mohamed Al Qalami, explained that this center includes a medical testing laboratory, an imaging unit, a reception area, three medical consultation offices, a nursing and first aid room, a medical ward with a capacity of four beds, and a fully equipped medical staff accommodation, ensuring good care and close follow-up for patients.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Rosso, Mr. Bada Jing, praised the achievement of this center, which came in response to an important demand.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Governor of Rosso, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdelrahman Al-Amin, security officials from the region, and a number of officials from the Civil Service and Labor sector.
