The Data Protection Authority Begins Assessment of Personal Data Processing by the “Taazour” Delegation

A coordination meeting was held today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Data Protection Authority between the Data Protection Authority for Personal Data and the General Delegation for Solidarity and the Fight Against Exclusion (Taazour).
The meeting was chaired by the Secretary General of the Data Protection Authority, Mrs. Fatima Dahi, and the Secretary General of the General Delegation for Solidarity and the Fight Against Exclusion, Mr. Sadfi Ould Sidi Mohamed, in the presence of several officials from both institutions.
This meeting falls within the framework of evaluating personal data processing operations carried out by the Taazour Delegation, in line with the provisions of its accession agreements to the “Data-Protection” program.
It is worth noting that the “Data-Protection” program aims to support data controllers and guide compliance procedures with Law No. 2017-020 on the protection of personal data. The Data Protection Authority provides the necessary technical expertise and proposes appropriate legal measures to ensure compliance with the law.
The program also seeks to achieve the following objectives:
– Assess the data processing operations carried out by public institutions and provide necessary recommendations to ensure compliance;
– Issue deliberations that define standards related to compliance;
– Promote the adoption of the “Privacy by Design” principle when implementing personal data processing operations.
