The Equity Party organizes a mass rally in Nouakchott to celebrate the first anniversary of President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani’s second term.
On Friday evening, the Equity Party organized a large public rally at Cheikha Bidiya Square in Nouakchott to celebrate the first anniversary of the inauguration of His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani’s second term, under the slogan: “The Will of a Leader… The Renaissance of a Nation,” honoring the achievements Mauritania has made over the past six years.
The rally was attended by thousands of party supporters from various districts of the capital, who gathered to express their support and backing for the President’s program and his reform agenda.
In a speech delivered during the event, the party’s chairman, Mr. Sidi Ahmed Mohamed, emphasized that this large popular gathering reflects the deep trust of the people in the vision and reformist approach of His Excellency the President. He noted that the rally is more than just a political activity; it is a message of loyalty and pride in the accomplishments achieved over a year of continuous work that has positively impacted citizens across many aspects of life.
The chairman highlighted social successes that have materialized through pioneering programs such as “Ta’azur,” which supported vulnerable groups and strengthened national solidarity, alongside significant reforms in the health and education sectors. He pointed out that the “Republic School” has become a living reality embodying the values of equality and social justice, a dream that was once distant.
He also reviewed the infrastructure developments achieved, including the construction of bridges and road networks, the rehabilitation of thousands of kilometers of national roads, the advancement of maritime and air transport sectors, and the architectural boom in government buildings. Additionally, progress in higher education was noted through the establishment of new universities and institutes, as well as improvements in education quality and scientific research.
Concluding his speech, he affirmed that Mauritania has become safer and more stable thanks to the wise leadership of His Excellency the President and his unifying speeches, which have contributed to strengthening national unity and elevating the country’s status regionally and internationally. He called on everyone to continue their solidarity to preserve these gains and support the path of development and nation-building.
The rally was attended by the party chairman, several prominent national figures, and thousands of enthusiastic supporters.
