Web Summit 2026 Panel Discusses Moving from AI Experience to Living with AI

The pace of artificial intelligence (AI) development has accelerated significantly in recent years. Yet, many users still interact with AI in a limited way and do not fully integrate it into their daily lives. This topic was the focus of the panel “From AI Experience to Living with AI” at Web Summit 2026 in Doha, Qatar.

Panelists included:

  • Anant Bhardwaj, Founder & CEO of Instabase.
  • Amit Jain, Co-Founder & CEO of Luma AI.
  • Bastian Nominacher, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Celonis.

The discussion centered on how AI can be embedded into clients’ daily operations to enhance efficiency and fully leverage the technology.

AI Integration in Industry: The Celonis Case

Bastian Nominacher shared an example from Celonis, where a client with multiple factories worldwide faced a machine breakdown in a European facility. The supplier quoted a 4-week wait for the replacement part.

Because the company had integrated all services and factories with Celonis AI models, it identified the part in a nearby factory and transferred it manually in under 20 hours, getting the factory back online quickly.

Nominacher highlighted how AI accelerates operations when provided with the right data.

AI in Marketing and Advertising: The Luma AI Experience

Amit Jain discussed Luma AI’s development of multi-modal AI models, capable of understanding physical-world rules and building intelligent environments.

He gave an example of a global company launching a marketing campaign, where video production, editing, and publishing were completed in under 40 hours using AI—tasks that would normally take months.

Jain noted that AI video generation is increasingly used in marketing but also has applications in entertainment and film production, with Luma AI collaborating with studios to provide in-film editing and content generation.

AI as a Team Member: The Instabase Approach

Anant Bhardwaj explained that Instabase aims to make AI a fully integrated team member, rather than just a chatbot. AI participates in meetings, email discussions, and decision-making by preparing key data and insights to speed up and improve outcomes.

AI and the Workforce

Regarding AI’s impact on jobs, Amit Jain emphasized that AI increases productivity and efficiency, while significantly reducing production costs. He advised employees at companies that resist AI adoption to seek workplaces that embrace the technology, noting that creative professionals skilled in AI are in high demand and secure in their roles.
