Xiaomi 14 luxury phone specifications

Xiaomi has launched its new flagship smartphone, the Mi 14, which features a flat screen and an aluminum frame, as well as customizable lock screens on the always-on display, according to the German news agency.

Xiaomi has equipped its new Mi 14 smartphone with professional camera equipment, including a zoom lens not available in Google or Apple phones except at an additional cost. The camera system in the new Mi 14 smartphone features the same lenses used in the Pro 13 model.

The gallery app automatically crops people or pets out of photos with a single click to be used in instant messaging apps, as well as new pop-up notifications, which appear in black around the selfie camera.

The new Mi 14 phone is available with 256 gigabytes of memory, with faster charging capability of 90 watts instead of 67 watts, and the technical package includes a 4610 milliampere-hour battery.

LTPO OLED screen

The new Xiaomi 14 phone features an LTPO or OLED display measuring 6.3 inches with a resolution of 1200 x 2670 pixels, with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, but the traditional brightness during operation is 1000 nits.

The selfie camera cutout appears relatively large for a premium Android phone, as do the screen bezels. The Chinese company has integrated the fingerprint sensor low on the device, requiring users to stretch their thumb slightly.

Regarding the hardware components, the Xiaomi 14 phone can compete with or even outperform other premium models; as it includes the latest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a screen with a dynamic image refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, fast UFS 4.0 memory, in addition to dust and water resistance according to IP68 protection class.

the battery

In addition to surpassing other competing models in terms of battery life, Xiaomi 14 confirms that its battery can be fully recharged from empty in just 31 minutes, with charging via cable at 90 watts.

This capacity exceeds the charging capability of competing models like Samsung’s S24 at 25 watts, Google’s Pixel 8 at 27 watts, or Apple’s iPhone 15 at 20 watts, besides, the Xiaomi 14 phone also supports wireless charging at 50 watts, significantly outperforming all competing models in both wireless and cable charging capabilities.

Xiaomi emphasizes that the new Mi 14 phone’s cameras feature lenses derived from the premium Pro 13 edition, boasting three lenses with a 50-megapixel resolution: a primary camera supported by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 3x zoom lens.

Artificial intelligence jobs

The Xiaomi 14 phone’s camera can compete with other premium models, even when it comes to artificial intelligence features. The Chinese company has long introduced AI-powered photo editing functions, such as removing people or objects from photos.

Despite Xiaomi’s announcement of launching generative AI features for the new Mi 14 phone’s camera, such as creating suitable backgrounds for portrait photos, and direct translation function like Samsung and Google phones, the Chinese company has not specified a release date for such features.

The MIUI operating system still comes with many pre-installed applications, which often bother users by ignoring notifications that push users to use Xiaomi’s duplicate applications of famous ones like YouTube or TikTok.

The Chinese company has managed to reduce the size of the operating system to 8 gigabytes, whereas previous models came with a 15-gigabyte operating system at delivery, thus providing users with more space to install desired applications or store photos and videos.

Regarding software support, the Chinese company seems somewhat disappointing, as Xiaomi announced support for Android updates for the new Mi 14 phone for 4 years and security updates for 5 years. This is considerably less than the 7-year period offered by Google and Samsung for their flagship phones.
