Amorim Asks Garnacho to Leave Manchester United Amid Growing Tensions

Reports have revealed that Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has asked young winger Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club during the current summer transfer window, signaling rising tensions between the two.

Garnacho, 20, appeared visibly frustrated after being benched for the Europa League final and later publicly criticized Amorim’s decision, hinting at a potential departure from Old Trafford this summer.

According to The Athletic, Amorim was quick to respond to Garnacho’s remarks, privately informing the Argentine that he is no longer part of his plans for the upcoming season — effectively marking the end of his time at United.

This incident isn’t the first clash between the player and his manager. Shortly after Amorim’s appointment, both Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were excluded from training sessions due to underwhelming performance levels.

Despite Amorim publicly praising Garnacho and starting him in 13 Premier League matches during the second half of the season, the youngster was recently dropped to the bench again, which further fueled his dissatisfaction.

Manchester United are now expected to entertain offers of around $81 million for the Argentine international, with major clubs like Chelsea and Serie A champions Napoli reportedly showing strong interest.

Garnacho’s departure could provide a significant financial boost for United, potentially sparing the club from having to sell key players such as Bruno Fernandes, who has received a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League.
