Announcing the launch date of “Starship,” the most powerful space rocket in the world
SpaceX has announced the date for its next test flight of the giant “Starship” rocket, touted as one of the world’s most powerful space rockets. Scheduled for June 5th, the launch window will open at 7 AM local time from SpaceX’s “Starbase” facility in Texas.
This will mark the fourth test flight for the giant rocket, aligning with CEO Elon Musk’s plans to support NASA’s efforts to send astronauts to the moon within the next few years. The company aims to achieve a smooth landing in the Gulf of Mexico this time, despite the rocket’s towering height of 121 meters, making it 27 meters taller than the Statue of Liberty.
The rocket’s booster, known as “Super Heavy,” produces 74.3 mega newtons of thrust, nearly twice the thrust of NASA’s Space Launch System.
