Brahimi Opens Up on Injury Scare and Confirms Readiness for Quarterfinal

Algeria captain Yacine Brahimi spoke to Al Jazeera Net about the frightening injury he suffered just two minutes into Algeria’s match against Iraq, describing the moment as extremely alarming.

“It was a very terrifying injury, and I felt a great deal of fear at that moment,” Brahimi said, before adding: “But thank God, I was spared from a serious injury.”

Speaking about his fitness ahead of the quarterfinal clash against the United Arab Emirates, Brahimi reassured fans about his condition, saying: “I am in good health and I don’t feel any pain. I will be ready for the quarterfinal to help my teammates and the national team.”

He concluded by underlining the team’s sense of responsibility and confidence, stating: “We are aware of the responsibility on our shoulders, and we trust in our ability to make the Algerian fans happy.”
