Brazil Donates to Gabo Residents to Address Floods

The Brazilian government made a humanitarian donation to the town of Gabo in Mauritania after it was severely affected by floods in the second half of 2024, which destroyed crops, damaged homes, and left hundreds of people homeless.

The Brazilian government stated that it provided support in response to a request from the mayor of Gabo, Dianche Adama Soumae, and the agency mobilized resources worth $15,000 to provide essential goods to the residents.
