Ghazouani bids farewell to ministers, stressing that “some of them will succeed in their performance”
On Tuesday, President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani bid farewell to the members of the third government of Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal during their final meeting before his second term inauguration on Thursday and the government’s resignation.
Ould Ghazouani addressed the government members, stating that he could not question their intentions or suggest that some of them deliberately failed to fulfill their assigned tasks. However, he affirmed that some had not succeeded in their roles.
During the meeting, Ould Ghazouani discussed the government’s work and performance over the past period.
This government is the fourth one formed by Ould Ghazouani during his first term, which will end on Wednesday. He will be inaugurated for his second and final five-year term on Thursday morning, August 1.
Ould Ghazouani formed his first government in August 2019, shortly after his inauguration. He appointed his second government in August 2020, his third government in March 2022, and his latest government in July 2023.
