Ghazouani Chairs the Supreme Council for Strategic Guidance of Tazir

President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani chaired the second session of the Supreme Council for Strategic Guidance of the General Delegation for National Solidarity and the Fight Against Exclusion, “Tazir,” this Thursday afternoon at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott.
The Mauritanian presidency stated that during the meeting, the General Delegate for Tazir, Sheikh Ould Bedia, presented a report on the activities of the delegation between 2020-2024. The strategic guidelines, the priorities of the multi-year plan, and the annual activity program for the period 2025-2029 were also presented.
The presidency confirmed that at the end of the Council’s discussions, the proposed action plan was adopted. President Ould Ghazouani, the Chairman of the Supreme Council, gave directives to take a series of decisions and recommendations, including reaffirming support for Tazir in its missions, working to rationalize resources, and ensuring full coordination between Tazir and all relevant ministerial sectors.
President Ould Ghazouani also emphasized the need to “achieve closer proximity between Tazir and its beneficiaries” and to focus on implementing major projects in vulnerable areas in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and fishing to economically uplift these regions. Additionally, he stressed the importance of regularly updating the mechanisms for the social register.
