The President of the Republic arrives in Cairo to participate in the emergency Arab summit.

His Excellency, President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived this morning, Monday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to participate in the emergency Arab summit on the developments of the Palestinian cause. The summit will discuss the need for a unified Arab stance rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their lands and affirming the Arab consensus to take necessary legal and international measures to protect their legitimate rights.

President Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani was welcomed at Cairo International Airport by His Excellency Minister of Public Enterprises, Engineer Mohamed Chemi.

Accompanying His Excellency the President during this visit is a high-level delegation that includes:

  • Mr. Nani Ould Echrouk, Minister in charge of the Presidency of the Republic;
  • Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad;
  • Mr. Ahmed Ould Ahmed Allah Ould Nini, Adviser to the Presidency;
  • Mr. Ahmed Ould Mohamed Razi, Adviser to the Presidency;
  • Mr. El Hussein Ould Dih, Permanent Representative of our country to the Arab League;
  • Mr. El Hassan Ould Ahmed, Director-General of State Protocol.
