Inauguration of a Transport Station and Laying the Foundation Stone for the Road Transport Regulatory Authority Headquarters

The Minister of Equipment and Transport, Aall Ould Al-Virak, inaugurated the “Al-Amal” station for transportation and truck weighing at the site of the old Nouakchott airport on Monday.

In parallel with the inauguration, Ould Al-Virak also laid the foundation stone for the headquarters of the Road Transport Regulatory Authority, according to official media sources.

The new headquarters will span an area of 1,245 square meters, including 63 offices, a parking lot, three security and guard offices, a technical connections office, a meeting hall, an elevator, a 160 kVA generator, public restrooms, and parking spaces, as stated in the same report.

The project will be executed by the Military Engineering Department at a financial cost of 58,343,929 new ouguiyas, with a construction period of 12 months.
