Ghazouani departs for Dar es Salaam to attend the African Energy Summit

The President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, headed to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Monday to participate in the African Summit on Energy.
Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, who holds the rotating presidency of the African Union, is accompanied by a delegation that includes the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Energy and Petroleum, the Minister in charge of the President’s Office, and Mauritania’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
The summit, held under the theme “Lighting up Africa: The Transformative Power of the 300 Mission,” is organized by the African Development Bank Group, the World Bank Group, and in collaboration with the African Union.
The summit aims to promote the “Mission 300” initiative, which seeks to provide energy to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, helping to overcome the energy crisis that affects approximately 600 million Africans.
