Enhancing Vocational Training Quality in Mauritania: A Plan to Expand Opportunities and Meet Labor Market Needs
The Minister of Vocational Training, Traditional Industry, and Crafts, Mohamed Maa El-Aynin Ould Aiyeh, stated that vocational training institutions have expanded in recent years in terms of quantity, with plans to enhance quality to meet the needs of the labor market.
Ould Aiyeh added in his speech during a training workshop organized by the Ministry of Vocational Training, titled “Institutional Project in the Service of Vocational Training Quality,” that the President of the Republic has instructed the provision of 115,000 opportunities for youth, enabling them to benefit from his programs over the next five years.
For his part, the Director General of the Higher Center for Technical Education, Sid Ahmed Ould Ayoh, explained that the choice of this topic “reflects the ministry’s firm commitment to developing the vocational training sector and enhancing its quality, making it more aligned with developmental challenges and better meeting the evolving needs of the labor market.”
