Mauritanian National Assembly President Praises Outcomes of Joint Parliamentary Session with Algeria

The President of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Mohamed Bemba Meguett, expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts made by participants at the closing session of the first Mauritanian–Algerian Grand Parliamentary Committee, held Saturday in Algiers. He emphasized that the outcomes achieved represent a significant success and a meaningful step forward in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

He stated that the joint communiqué and recommendations issued during the session should be translated into tangible achievements that serve the public interest and pave the way for greater constructive integration between the two brotherly nations. He also commended the economic, urban, and scientific progress witnessed in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, describing it as a source of shared pride and a reflection of the country’s dynamic development.

The Mauritanian official extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of Algeria’s National People’s Assembly, Brahim Boughali, for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He further expressed his anticipation of meeting again in Nouakchott next year for the second session of the Mauritanian–Algerian Grand Parliamentary Committee, with the aim of further advancing parliamentary partnership between the two countries.
