Brakna Launches 2026 Supplementary Baccalaureate Exams and Excellence Schools Entrance Competition
The 2026 Supplementary Baccalaureate Examinations and the Entrance Competition for Excellence Schools officially began on Monday across Brakna Region, with local authorities implementing measures to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of both examinations.
A total of 235 candidates are sitting for the supplementary baccalaureate exams, distributed across three examination centers located in Aleg, Boghé, and Bababé. Meanwhile, 179 students are participating in the entrance competition for Excellence Schools.
Governor Inspects Examination Centers
Brakna Governor Tayeb Ould Mohamed Mahmoud visited the examination center at Aleg Secondary School and School No. 5 in Aleg to assess the organization of the exams and review the supervision and monitoring procedures in place.
During the visit, the governor stated that the purpose of the inspection was to evaluate the overall organization of the examinations, ensure appropriate conditions for candidates, and address any issues immediately if they arise.
Commitment to Educational Reform
The governor emphasized that education remains a key priority within the government’s comprehensive reform program aimed at modernizing the national education system and improving the quality of learning outcomes.
He added that all necessary administrative and logistical arrangements had been completed to ensure the supplementary baccalaureate examinations and the Excellence Schools entrance competition are conducted under suitable conditions, guaranteeing fairness and equal opportunities for all candidates.
