Yamaha Unveils “Motoroid 2” Self-Balancing AI-Powered Motorcycle

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has revealed its latest futuristic concept: a self-driving motorcycle capable of balancing itself and interacting with its rider through facial recognition and voice command response, according to a report by Electrek, a website specializing in electric vehicles.

The innovative bike, named “Motoroid 2”, immediately captures attention with its sci-fi-inspired design. It features an advanced suspension system that allows the rear section to move independently from the front, enhancing maneuverability and stability. Its electric motor is integrated into the rear, powered by a high-capacity battery that drives the bike’s intelligent systems.

Breaking away from traditional handlebars, Motoroid 2 uses hidden grips that allow the rider to hold them for support without controlling the bike. The motorcycle relies entirely on self-balancing technology and artificial intelligence for navigation and responsiveness, offering a radically different riding experience from conventional motorcycles.

On its official website, Yamaha describes the bike as a “living entity” capable of listening to and executing its owner’s commands, even following the rider when not in use, thanks to its advanced sensor systems.

The motorcycle leverages a comprehensive AI platform to recognize user facial features, process voice commands, and monitor behavior and movement across various environments, making Motoroid 2 a smart, autonomous motorcycle that blends futuristic design with human-centric interaction.
