After Erdogan’s statements about deterring Tel Aviv a battle of tweets between the Turks and the Israelis

A verbal war has erupted between Turks and Israelis on social media platforms following Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statements yesterday, Sunday, where he said, “Just as we entered (the Azerbaijani region) Karabakh and Libya, we can do the same in Israel. We must have sufficient strength so that Israel cannot do what it does in Palestine.”

These remarks from the Turkish President have infuriated politicians in Tel Aviv. Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz responded via his X platform account, saying Erdogan is following in the footsteps of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and threatening to attack Israel.

Katz added that Erdogan should remember how it ended for Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

Following this tweet, a verbal battle ensued, flooding Turkish accounts to the Israeli Foreign Minister’s account. The dispute between Turks and Israelis reached over 22,000 comments and 7 million views on the post at the time of writing this report.

Some Twitter users boldly stated, “Israel’s Minister of Occupation Foreign Affairs Katz threatens Turkish President with the fate of Saddam Hussein, who threatened to burn half of Israel and bomb Tel Aviv in 1990.”

This incident exposes the role of the occupation in toppling Saddam Hussein’s regime and confirms “the Zionists’ thugs,” as one put it!

Others pointed out that the Israeli Foreign Minister seems to forget that unlike the occupying state, Turkey is a key member and the second-largest armed forces in NATO after the United States, the most powerful armed forces in the Middle East, and the eighth most powerful armed forces in the world.
