Minister of Vocational Training Visits Technical and Industrial Training School in Nouakchott

His Excellency Mohamed Maa El-Ainin Ould Eyih, Minister of Vocational Training, Traditional Industry, and Handicrafts, accompanied by Fernando Clavijo, President of the Government of the Canary Islands, visited the Technical and Industrial Vocational Training School in Nouakchott on Thursday.

During the visit, the Minister and his delegation toured the workshops of the institution, where they received detailed briefings on the school’s activities and its pioneering role in vocational training.

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Youth Training

This visit highlights the bilateral partnership between the two friendly countries in youth training across various fields aligned with labor market needs. In the first phase, forty young Mauritanians will receive specialized training in construction and steelwork, under the supervision of Mauritanian and Spanish trainers.

Participants will also benefit from internships in private sector institutions to enhance their expertise, upon completion of which they will be awarded professional certificates.

  • María Alvarida Sozi, Ambassador of Spain to Mauritania
  • A high-level delegation from the Canary Islands
  • Ibrahim Ould Abibakar, Director of the Technical and Industrial Vocational Training School in Nouakchott
  • Several officials from the ministry.
