Paris Saint-Germain Stages Comeback Against Dunkerque to Reach French Cup Final

Paris Saint-Germain secured a thrilling victory, overturning a 2-0 deficit against second-division side Dunkerque to win 4-2 and book their place in the French Cup final.

The Parisian giants extended their unbeaten run in domestic competitions, having not lost a single match in both the league and the cup this season.

Dunkerque stunned their visitors with an early goal just seven minutes into the match, as Vincent Sasso capitalized on a free kick to score unmarked at the far post. The underdogs doubled their lead in the 27th minute through Saudi forward Nabhan Al-Saad, who struck a brilliant half-volley into the net.

However, PSG regained momentum before halftime, with Ousmane Dembélé pulling one back in the final minute of the first half. The French winger received a precise cross from Moroccan fullback Achraf Hakimi, controlled it with his left foot, and smashed it into the top of the net with his right.

Early in the second half, Brazilian defender Marquinhos leveled the score with a well-placed header in the 48th minute. The comeback was completed in the 62nd minute when Djeidi Gassama slotted home after a stunning backheel assist from Bradley Barcola.

Dembélé sealed the victory with his second goal of the night in the fourth minute of stoppage time, ensuring PSG’s place in the final.

Paris Saint-Germain will now await the winner of Wednesday’s match between fourth-division side Caen and Reims, with the final set to take place on May 24.
