The Mauritanian Presidency deleted a previous news report that had been published about the meeting between President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and King Mohammed VI, accompanied by a photo of the meeting. It replaced the report with an official statement bearing the Presidency’s emblem.
The statement mentioned that the President paid a courtesy and health visit to King Mohammed VI as part of a private trip to the Kingdom of Morocco to check on him following the successful surgery he underwent weeks ago.
President Ghazouani expressed his happiness at the King’s recovery, wishing him continued health and well-being.
The statement emphasized that the meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and their leaders. It was also an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen mutual cooperation through new projects that promote exchange and integration between Mauritania and Morocco.
