Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Daddah chairs a ministerial meeting to follow up on the downtown Nouakchott renewal program and urban improvement.

His Excellency Prime Minister Mr. Mokhtar Ould Daddah chaired a ministerial committee meeting this Tuesday evening at the First Ministry’s conference hall, dedicated to discussing and further reviewing the technical committee’s report on the rehabilitation and renewal of downtown Nouakchott. This report constitutes the cornerstone of the city’s second development program, which His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani intends to implement during his second term, aiming to enhance the urban landscape of the city center.
After hearing the presentation by the technical committee and the attendees’ remarks, the Prime Minister directed that the committee hold regular meetings from now on to monitor progress and address challenges in implementing this foundational program.
He also tasked the relevant ministerial sectors and the Nouakchott regional authority with identifying needs and submitting proposals to update regulatory texts, while working in a coordinated and synchronized manner to complete the preparatory work within the specified timelines.
