Israeli Strikes Target Gaza, Killing and Injuring Civilians

Palestinians have been killed and injured in intensive Israeli strikes launched since early Wednesday across the Gaza Strip, particularly in Khan Younis and Gaza City. The attacks, carried out using drones and fighter jets, have involved home demolitions and the detonation of explosive robots.

Medical sources in Gaza hospitals confirmed that 21 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire since dawn, including four individuals waiting for humanitarian aid.

Specifically, the Al-Kuwait Field Hospital reported the deaths of three Palestinians, including a woman and a child, after an Israeli drone struck displacement tents west of Khan Younis. Meanwhile, Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the deaths of three more Palestinians in a drone strike targeting a displaced persons’ tent in the Asda area northwest of Khan Younis.

A number of displaced people were also injured inside their tents due to Israeli gunfire targeting the Al-Iqlimi area southwest of Khan Younis, according to local media.

In central Khan Younis, Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes, with no immediate reports of casualties. In southern Gaza, artillery fire targeted the area south of Muwasi in Rafah, where displaced families have set up tents.

In Gaza City, emergency services reported injuries to several Palestinians following a drone strike on a tent in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the north. A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital stated that two Palestinians were killed in Israeli artillery fire on a house in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.

Local media also reported Israeli airstrikes on Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza and artillery shelling near the Islamic Complex in Al-Sabra area in the south. Additionally, the Israeli army detonated an explosive robot in the Al-Zarqa area in northern Gaza.

In northern Gaza, the Israeli army demolished homes in Jabalia Al-Nuzla and conducted airstrikes on the Al-Saftawi area.

These attacks follow a deadly Tuesday, during which about 60 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed and many more injured in Israeli strikes across Gaza, targeting displaced persons’ tents, aid recipients, and civilian gatherings.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with U.S. support, has carried out a large-scale campaign in Gaza involving killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt its operations.

This ongoing assault has resulted in 62,819 Palestinian deaths, 158,629 injuries, the disappearance of over 9,000 individuals, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine-related deaths of 303 Palestinians, including 117 children, as of Tuesday.
