Escalation Between Moscow and Kyiv: Heavy Strikes, Casualties, and Power Outages

Russia announced that it carried out large-scale strikes targeting Ukrainian missile and aviation industries, as well as military airfields, while confirming the capture of Kamyshivakha in the Donetsk region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks were conducted with high-precision weapons as part of an ongoing military campaign.
At the same time, the ministry reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted 21 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 11 over the Volgograd region and the rest over Rostov, Belgorod, and Bryansk. The governor of Belgorod said nine people were injured in Ukrainian drone attacks involving 136 UAVs that struck nine towns within 24 hours.

On the other side, Ukraine’s Air Force reported it had shot down 126 out of 142 drones launched by Moscow overnight. Ukrainian military authorities confirmed that Russian strikes caused casualties in several areas across the south and east of the country, while the General Staff said there were 182 clashes with Russian forces within 24 hours.
