Minister of Social Affairs, Childhood, and Family Discusses Strengthening Cooperation with UNICEF in Mauritania

This morning, Thursday, Her Excellency Safia Entah, Minister of Social Affairs, Childhood, and Family, received in her office in Nouakchott Mr. Kabir Alawi Madghari, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Mauritania.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and UNICEF, particularly in the areas of supporting and protecting children in general, and children in conflict with the law in particular.

The two parties also discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in promoting and protecting women’s rights in the country.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Hamoudi Cheikhna Ali, Secretary-General of the Ministry, along with several senior officials, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination to achieve social and human development objectives.
