The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Social Affairs inspects the progress of the Ramadan Solidarity Operation.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Childhood, and Family, Mr. Hamoudi Cheikhna Ali, visited the headquarters of the Mauritanian Post Company “MoriPost” in Nouakchott on Sunday to monitor the progress of the “Ramadan Solidarity Operation” launched by the ministry last Friday, aimed at providing financial assistance to 10,000 families.
The total cost of the operation, which is being carried out during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan and covers all the country’s regions, amounts to 50,000,000 Ouguiya.
In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency at the end of the visit, the Secretary-General explained that the choice of “MoriPost” from several institutions to carry out the financial transfers was due to the company’s ability to implement the operation quickly and smoothly. He confirmed that “MoriPost” is responsible for distributing the cash amounts to the beneficiary families in the northern and southern Nouakchott regions, the western and eastern Hodh, and the Gorgol region. He also mentioned that other financial institutions will begin distributing the funds to beneficiaries in the remaining regions of the country starting next week.
Mr. Hamoudi added that the purpose of the visit was to follow up on the progress of the operation, praising the role of “MoriPost” in speeding up the implementation of the operation during the weekend.
The Secretary-General was accompanied during the visit by several ministry officials.
