Leaks Reveal iPhone 17 Pro Colors, Including a New Gold Option

Recent leaks indicate that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro will be available in five colors, including a new gold shade being introduced for the first time in the iPhone lineup, according to a report by Daily Mail.

The leak came via a post on X by well-known leaker Sony Dixon, who has previously shared highly accurate Apple rumors, most of which later proved true.

Camera Frame and Color Details

Dixon confirmed that the new camera frame on the phone will match the color of the device itself, rather than being a contrasting color. He noted that the new shade is likely a coppery or dark gold tone, consistent with Apple’s approach of introducing refined colors with new releases.

However, another report from Macworld, a site specializing in Apple products, suggests that the new color will lean more toward a bright orange, named “TCX Papaya.” This prediction is based on an internal memo obtained from sources within Apple, detailing the colors and Pantone codes used for the new devices.

A user on X also converted these codes into actual color visuals and shared them in a tweet to give followers a closer look at the potential new shade.

Mixed Reactions from Users

According to Daily Mail, social media reactions to the new colors have been mixed. Some users welcomed the bold new hue, while others criticized it. The bright orange represents a notable departure from Apple’s traditionally muted color palette for Pro and Pro Max models, with some arguing it diminishes the device’s premium appearance.

iPhone 17 Announcement Expected Soon

Leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 announcement event is fast approaching, likely taking place during the second week of September.
